An 86-year-old driver accidentally drove into a home on Provins Avenue in Masontown while attempting to park her vehicle Saturday afternoon.

Longtime Masontown resident Rosemary Capitoni said she was inside her home at the time and felt the entire house rattle when the vehicle crashed into her front porch.

Around 2:30 p.m. the driver was attempting to back up into her parking space across the street when she accidentally drove it up the hill behind her then straight forward into Capitoni’s home, according to Lieutenant Jeff Standish of Masontown Police.

Police said the driver was treated by Fayette EMS on scene and no serious injuries were reported.

“I’m a little shook up, but I’m glad she’s OK; I’m glad she isn’t hurt,” said Capitoni.
