Man charged with watching woman change in Nicholson Twp. pool house
A woman reported she was changing in a pool house restroom in Nicholson Township when she looked up to see an eye peering at her from a crack in the ceiling.
Jeffrey A. Ardabell, 29, of Smithfield was charged Monday with tampering with physical evidence and invasion of privacy, both misdemeanors.
The woman told John Duncan what happened, and he found Ardabell in the storage area above the restroom, according to paperwork filed in the case.
State police interviewed Ardabell, who claimed he was in the storage area because he planned to take a picture of Duncan, his cousin, while he was changing and send it to all their cousins “because he thought it would be a funny joke,” court paperwork said.
He told police he used his phone to see who was in the restroom when he heard a noise. Police said he hid his phone and refused to provide it or tell officers where it was.
