Lester B. Wolfe
Lester L. Wolfe, 77, of Belle Vernon, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Mon Valley Hospital.
A son of the late Mary Pohlot and Lester L. Wolfe Sr., he was born in Monessen, Pa., on May 31, 1940.
A resident of Belle Vernon for most of his adult life, he was a 39-year member of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, and a member of the West Newton Center for Active Adults, the F. & A.M. Lodge 615 in Charleroi, and the Men’s Breakfast Club of the Pricedale Union Church, was a former member and treasurer of the Monessen Kiwanis Club and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Charleroi Rainbow Girls.
He was passionate about gardening, yardwork, reading and playing with his cats, Pebbles and Buttons.
Along with his father and brother, he owned and operated the Arco stations in Webster and Monessen in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.
He worked for ten years at the former Volkswagen Plant in New Stanton and then retired after 21 years from the Clairton Plant of United States Steel Company.
Lester and his wife fostered thirteen children in the 1990’s.
Survivors include his wife, Melba Jean (Isaho) Wolfe, with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage on January 30, 2017; one daughter, Melanie (Monica) Wolfe of State College, Pa.; four sons: Keith Wolfe of Washington, Pa., Richard Wolfe of Belle Vernon, Jeremy Wolfe of Peters Township, Pa., Stephen (Marissa) Wolfe of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother- in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Janis Reece of Monessen, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Wolfe.

Interment follows in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
