Alleged drug dealers held on $1 million bonds
Two alleged drug dealers were arrested and later arraigned on $1 million bonds after a joint investigation and a traffic stop in Mount Pleasant Township, Monday night.
Deandre L. Harris, 42, of Mount Vernon, New York, and Diedre Rose Fielding, 30, of Pittsburgh are both charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to court documents, Westmoreland County Detectives and members of TACET and SHIELD were completing a joint investigation that day which resulted in a search warrant and a traffic stop on the vehicle.
State police conducted a traffic stop on the red Chrysler on Interstate 76 near mile marker 81 in Mount Pleasant Township at about 11:30 p.m. They found an ounce of raw heroin and $6,000 in cash, according to court documents.
Harris and Fielding were arraigned Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge Roger F. Eckels. They remain lodged in Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of bond.
Preliminary hearings are tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m. July 27 before Eckels.
