Charles Earl Guthrie
Charles Earl Guthrie, 68, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia on Sunday, July 16, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
He was born July 26, 1948 in Fairchance, Pa. the son of Charles Henry Guthrie and Clara Louise (Dillow) Guthrie.
His parents and two sisters, Sheila Guthrie and Betty Guthrie Isler, preceded him in death.
Charles was a Heavy Equipment Operator for 35 years until his retirement with Cat Track Excavating in Herndon, Virginia.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the love of his life, Marilyn (Hafner) Guthrie; two children: Charla Parrish and fiance’ Donnie Sutphin and Charles H. Guthrie; grandchildren: Miranda, Des’Ree, Breanna, Allison, Charles John, Sky Marie and Cristin; great grandchildren: Brooklynn, McKenzie, Chase and Claire; siblings: Keith and Shonda Guthrie, Audrey and Roger Van Bremen, Joyce and Jim Campbell, Geraldine Cartwright, Phyllis Carr, Patty and Tom Mayhew, Lydia Ware, Mark Guthrie and James Guthrie; many nieces and nephews.
Everyone is invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the NILAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH, Nilan Road, Nilan, Pa., with his brother Keith Guthrie officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa.
