Preliminary hearings 7-23-17
Several preliminary hearings were held this week in Fayette County. The results include:
Lawrence Thomas Wolff, 40, of Uniontown waived his charges for alleged methamphetamine lab operations to the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas Wednesday. State police were called to the Hopwood apartment at 6A Bryson Boulevard July 11 after a woman reported Wolff assaulted her. He is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
Jeffery Alan Coffer, 52, of Connellsville waived robbery and related charges to the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas Thursday for allegedly robbing Sunoco in Connellsville June 3. Police said he told a clerk he had a gun and demanded money, and threatened to shoot the clerk if he did not give him a five-minute head-start before calling 911. He remains lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
Tyler William Hay, 28, of Normallville waived robbery and related charges in three cases to the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas Thursday. Police allege he robbed Sunoco Honey Bear May 6 and Reddy Sunoco on June 30 and July 2. Police said he brandished a knife and demanded money.
William Robert Curcio, 20, of Charleroi waived aggravated assault and related charges to the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas Tuesday for allegedly participating in the severe beating of a Fairchance man in his house May 1. The alleged victim was treated for multiple broken facial bones at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. An arrest warrant remains active for the second alleged assailant, Eric Ryan Huweart, 20, of Coal Center. Curcio was freed from jail after a $40,000 bond was posted on his behalf.
