John Anthony Rabatin Sr.
John Anthony Rabatin Sr. entered into rest at the age of 75 on July 14, 2017 after a battle with leukemia.
John was born in Perry Township, Pennsylvania on April 25, 1942 and was a resident of Buckeye, Arizona at the time of passing.
John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sandra (Carlin) Rabatin; three children: James (Bianca) Rabatin, John (Jenny) Rabatin Jr. and Shari Evans; four grand children: Sandy (Chris) Smith, John Rabatin III, Colton Rabatin and Samantha Rabatin; great grandchild, Madison Smith; two sisters: Dolores Johnson and Marion Timko; three brothers: Leonard (Linda) Rabatin, David (Nancy) Rabatin, Daniel (Ira) Rabatin.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Rabatin Sr. and Katheryn (Petrosky) Rabatin; brother Andrew ‘Rune’ Rabatin, Jr.
John was a class of 1960 graduate of Perry-Lower Tyrone High School in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania.
Throughout life, John was a resident of Gasport and Wellsville, New York and Glendale, Arizona.
John served in the United States Air Force and retired from General Motors in Lockport, New York where he was an Inspector.
John was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing the Genesee River in New York and Lake Pleasant in Arizona. He also enjoyed hunting, archery and tying flies for himself and others to use for fly fishing.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 30, at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Gold Star Post 7023, Perryopolis, Pa.
