Stephen Beucher Jr.
Stephen Beucher Jr., 93, of Connellsville, Pa., died Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his home.
He was born June 12, 1924 in Chalk Hill, Pa., son of the late Stephen and Hannah Margaret (Kirkpatrick) Beucher.
He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Beucher was a 1943 graduate of the former South Union High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy where he served in the south Pacific in World War II.
When he came home, he began working at the former Anchor Hocking Cap Plant. He retired after 40 years.
He was a member of the Saint Rita roman Catholic Church.
He was an avid sportsman, especially hunting, fishing and golfing he enjoyed with his many friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara G. (Rushton) Pleva Beucher, enjoying the love of the outdoors and mutual companionship. He is also survived by his son, Derek, and grand children, Onyx and Dreyvon. His favorite caregiver over the years was Dr. Jolene Sim, Derek’s friend, who resided at the home and attended to many of his medical needs.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church.
