A driver was injured after she reportedly hit a parked Uniontown Hospital Police vehicle, forcing it into the hospital and causing “significant damage” Monday afternoon.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was treated at Uniontown Hospital. She was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon, according to hospital spokesman Josh Krysak.

The crash was reported at 12:07 p.m. at 500 W. Berkeley St. near the Uniontown Hospital emergency entrance. Hospital personnel said the vehicle hit the outside of the police command center. The police vehicle was not occupied at the time of the crash.

Krysak said several windows were shattered and other structural damage is being assessed. No one inside the building was injured, he said.

Glass was cracked and bowed at the impact location. The area was taped off and barricaded by hospital employees.

Both the hospital police vehicle and a Mitsubishi Endeavor were towed from the scene.
