Robert L. "Larry" Sherrick

Robert L. ‘Larry’ Sherrick, 65, of Connellsville, Pa., passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Select Specialty Care, Latrobe Hospital.

Larry was born on December 11, 1951 in Connellsville, Pa., son of the late William and Ann (Basile) Sherrick.

He was a member of Mount Joy Church of the Brethren in Mount Pleasant, a 1970 graduate of Connellsville Area High School, and a Vietnam veteran serving with the United States Air Force.

Larry was retired from Golden Eagle Construction Company where he was employed as a Senior Lab Technician of Quality Control.

He was also a former member of the Mon River Bass Masters Club.

Surviving are his wife, Sally (Fenton) Sherrick; children: Barbara Sherrick Skarzenski and husband Joshua of Dunbar, Pa., and Robert L. Sherrick Jr. and wife Eva of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grand children: Sebastian Lee Skarzenski, Preston James and Parker Dean Sherrick; sisters: Karen Pastorius of Dunbar, Pa., Sharon Koslosky and husband Denny of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; brothers: Randy Sherrick and Companion Dee of Mount Pleasant, Pa., and Terry Sherrick and companion Crystal of Dunbar, Pa.; mother-in-law, Nellie Fenton, Mount Pleasant; special cousins: Rick and Michelle Sherrick and Sherry and Gene Stewart; a special family friend, Joanne Wilson.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by siblings, Sandra, Marlene and Ronnie, and brother- in-law, Dean Pastorius.

The family is inviting family and friends from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 West Main Street, Mount Pleasant, Pa., and from 10 until 11 a.m. Wednesday at the MOUNT JOY CHURCH OF BRETHREN where Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating.

Interment with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 446 will be in Mount Joy Cemetery.
