Pregnant woman allegedly assaulted, man charged

By The 1 min read

A Uniontown man was charged Sunday after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman on Gallatin Avenue.

Robert Lee Stimmell Jr., 27, told police that he put his hand on the back of Marrissa Dennison’s neck “because they were engaged in a dispute.”

Stimmell also said he wanted to “fight two other white males who were on scene because they were interfering with his argument with Dennison,” according to court papers.

Dennison allegedly told police she didn’t want to press charges.

After Stimmell’s arrest, he allegedly kept banging his head against the window of the police vehicle, and spit on an officer’s face when he tried to get him to stop.

Stimmell was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
