Two people injured in South Connellsville crash
Two people were transported to nearby hospitals after an accident in South Connellsville, Monday evening, according to Fayette County 911. The crash occurred shortly before 6 p.m. when a man in his 40s crashed into a telephone pole on West Murphy Avenue, according to state police.
South Connellsville Volunteer Fire Company extricated the passenger trapped in the vehicle, who was identified as the man’s mother. Fayette EMS transported one person to Highlands Hospital and the other to Forbes Regional Hospital.
State police is investigating the accident. No further information has been released.
