Man charged with killing Duck Hollow ducks during youth golf tournament
A Uniontown man is facing a misdemeanor count of animal cruelty for accidentally killing two ducks at Duck Hollow Golf Course June 3 during a Fayette Area Youth golf tournament.
Josh Jenkins-Howenstine, 21, told police he was driving a golf cart while intoxicated and believed he may have hit the ducks unintentionally at the South Union Township golf course.
A second person at the tournament posted a picture to Facebook of himself with the dead ducks, generating backlash on social media. He was cleared of any wrongdoing, according to court documents.
The charge was filed Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Jennifer Jeffries.
