A man is in jail after he allegedly asked a large group of juveniles to help him break windows at a North Union Township property under construction “because it would be fun,” and caused $30,000 in damage.

Kevin Amaduo Casseus, 22, of Uniontown is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

He is originally from New York and does not have a stable residency, according to court documents.

The homeowners of the 5 Fairview Ave. property said they arrived Thursday night and saw 10 people running away from the property. Seven juveniles were stopped until state police arrived.

The damaged property is under construction at the address and has a posted “No trespassing” sign, police said.

Police allege Casseus and the juveniles threw rocks and wooden boards at the home, damaging 15 windows, a set of French doors, garage doors and the accompanying electrical system. They also moved equipment and boards inside and caused interior damage, police said.

Casseus and two juveniles admitted to damaging the property, according to court paperwork. The juveniles reported Casseus told them to help with the damage, police said. He is charged with burglary, criminal trespass and corruption of minors.
