George Perry Null
George Perry Null, age 76 of Fairchance passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on February 22, 1941 in Dupont Village, a son of Herman ‘Pick’ Null and Mary Martha Knight Null.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Jo Howell and Patricia Lafferty; brothers in law: William ‘Bing’ Lafferty, Michael Golden, and Richard Parsons.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Theresa (Doby) Null; sons: George Perry Null II and his wife, Janet of Fairchance, and Eric Raymond Null of Dupont Village; grandchildren, Tanya Marie Null and Andrew Jacob Null, both of Fairchance; sister, Betty Parsons of Uniontown; brother, William Null and his wife Vicki of Fairchance; sister in law, Patricia Golden of Smock; numerous nieces and nephews.
He proudly served his country in the Army and was a member of the George C. Marshall Amvets Post 103 and the Masontown American Legion Post 423.
George worked for PENNDOT for 27 years and retired as a foreman.
George was active serving his community as past president of the Fairchance Boro Area Ambulance Corp and past master of Boy Scout Troop 683.
He was also a Master Mason at the Valley Lodge No. 459 of Masontown, Valley Lodge of Pittsburgh and the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection.
George always considered family first; his grandchildren were the ‘apples of his eyes’. He cherished hunting and fishing with his family.
George’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 in GOLDSBORO-FABRY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. where his funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 with Rev. Timothy Rogers, Pastor of Trinity Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa. where Full Military Honors will be accorded by the George C. Marshall Amvets Post 103.
