A young bear is roaming the streets of Pershing Court after a sighting was reported at about 4 p.m. in the Uniontown neighborhood.
Uniontown City Police are monitoring the situation and advising people to stay away from the bear.
“There’s a bear in your back yard. Get back in the house,” Captain David Rutter said to a woman who had just stepped out onto her porch and promptly ran back inside.
Residents were watching the activity and taking pictures as the bear ran from house to house, down streets and into yards.
