Edith Mae (Baird) Combs Weaver Hoard Dorazio
Edith Mae (Baird)-Combs-Weaver-Hoard- Dorazio, age 90, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Marquis Gardens Place.
She was born Tuesday, September 7, 1926 to Merch Baird Sr. and Elizabeth (Inks) Baird.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Howard Combs in World War II, William J. Weaver, Forest ‘Bud’ Hoard, Joseph Dorazio; brothers, Merch Jr., Burl, Walter Sr., Charles, Orville in infancy, and a half brother, Albert; and sisters, Mary Katherine Burns, Margaret Wilson, Thelma Weaver and Alice in childhood.
Edith was a Waitress before becoming a Beautician and having her own shop.
In the late 60’s, Edith lived in Ohio where she worked for Spangler Candy Company and also Strydell Division of Ohio Art. She moved back to Pennsylvania in the 1970’s.
She had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Fairchance, Pa., and was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown, Pa.
Left to cherish Edith’s memory are the following: Edith and Howard had one son, Kenneth (Patricia) Weaver of Galesburg, Illinois. Edith and Bill had two children William L. Weaver of Stoystown, Pa., and Janice (Randall) Fruth Defiance, Ohio. Edith and Bud had one daughter, Karen (Ken) Howell of Auburn, Ohio; five granddaughters: Kristina Weaver, Austin, Texas, Amy Fruth Parmley of Lexington, Kentucky, Susan (Darrin) Fruth-Sackett of Defiance, Ohio, Elizabeth Howell of Morgantown, West Virginia, Michelle Howell of Auburn Township, Ohio; one step -granddaughter and two step-grandsons; two great grandsons; three great granddaughters; 11 step-great grandchildren; and a special caregiver, Debbie Trent.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania
The family will receive friends at the THIRD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 425 Union Street, Uniontown, Pa., Monday, March 6, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon followed by a Service Celebrating Edith’s Life at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Dr. Colleen Molinaro officiating.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
The family requests no flowers.
