Homer E. Johnson
Homer E. Johnson, 74 of Pasaquala, Mississippi passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017.
Homer was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania Monday, May 11, 1942 to Theodore Dewey and Clara (Powell) Johnson.
Homer loved singing and as a youth he performed with a local singing group called The Flicks.
He graduated from the former South Union High School in 1960; enlisted in the United States Navy serving for 20 years, attaining the rank Senior Chief Petty Officer.
After retiring, he made his home in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, Virginia and retired from Lockheed Martin before relocating to Pasaquala, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Mary Johnson; his brothers, Ray, Arthur, and Dewey; and a half brother, John.
He is survived by his son, Michael of Virginia and a granddaughter, Mary; sisters: Mary Townsend of Herndon, Virginia, and Margaretta Worthington of Columbus, Ohio; brothers Kenneth Johnson Sr. (Carla) of Uniontown, Pa., and Carl Johnson of Hopwood, Pa.; a special friend and companion, Clarissa McArthur of Pasaquala, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Friends will be received in the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME INC., 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., the hour of the Service.
Interment follows in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown, Pennsylvania
