Marguerite Lorraine (Papa) Ziska

Marguerite Lorraine (Papa) Ziska, age 90, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully Monday evening, March 6, 2017 in Beechwood Court.

She was born April 1, 1926 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Donald and Julia (Pierro) Papa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband William Robert Ziska; and son, William R. Ziska

She was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, The Golden Club, Ladies of Charity, the Tuesday Night Bible Study Group, and Eucharistic Minister for the Homebound.

She was a volunteer at Mount Macrina and at St. Vincent DePaul, and had worked at Saint Mary (Nativity) Rectory.

She worked for many years at Dudley Electric and then worked beside her husband at his business, Ziska Electric.

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters: Nancy L. Anderson and husband David and Barbara L. Galica and husband John of Uniontown, Pa.; grand children: Brian Galica and wife Lynne, Sarah Sheehan and husband Nicholas, Jessica Galica and fiance John; great grandson, Cole Patrick Sheehan, who brought her much joy; sister, Althea Zebley of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother, Donald Papa and wife Cleo of Texas; other relatives; many friends.

Friends will be received in KEZMARSKY Funeral Home, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, March 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday morning until 9:30 a.m. when Parting Prayers will be said.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church.

Entombment follows in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
