Charleroi man waives assault charges to court
Charges against a Charleroi man who allegedly assaulted his neighbors over loud noise were waived to court Thursday.
Scott Cook, 63, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, making offensive weapons and cruelty to animals after he allegedly went to his downstairs neighbor’s apartment and allegedly punched her in the face when she answered the door.
Injured was Lori Allen, her 15-year-old daughter and their dog, all of whom were struck in the head or face in the dispute over noise shortly before 1 a.m. Feb. 22, Charleroi police said.
Cook remains at the Washington County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bond.
