Roy E. Evans, age 89 of Brownsville, Pa. died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Mt. Macrina Manor in Uniontown, Pa.
He was born on October 5, 1927 in Maxwell, PA to the late John and Rachel Leaper Evans.
Roy was the owner of Evans Market in Brownsville, PA.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Loretta J. Evans, sisters, Margaret Alberts and Geraldine Walchock, brothers, David, Jack and Billy Evans
Left to cherish his memory are two loving and devoted daughters, Darlene Ferguson of Brownsville, Pa., and Shirley Madar and husband James of Eighty Four, Pa.; four grandchildren: Amy Saunders and husband Timmy, Kevin Madar, Tim Madar, and Adam Madar and fiancée Haley; two great grandchildren, Jesse Saunders and Hayden Madar; and sister, Marie Watson.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME 135 Park St. Brownsville, Pa. on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.; Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. B. T. Gilligan officiating.
Entombment in Lafayette Memorial Park.
