Virginia Marie Tassone
Virginia Marie Tassone, 97, of Masontown, Pa. passed away March 23, 2017 at Cloverdale Personal Care Home, Masontown, Pa.
She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on February 10, 1920, the daughter of Deno and Rena (Baldi) Dolfi.
She was a graduate of All Saints School Class of 1938.
Virginia was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, formerly All Saints Church, Masontown, Pa. and a member of the Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters and Italian Ladies Circle.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert R. Tassone, granddaughter, Nicole Schorr, brother, Ferdinand Dolfi, sister-in-law Irene Dolfi, daughter-in-law Andrea Tassone and brother-in-law John Zapotosky.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Richard Tassone of Keller, Texas and Gary Tassone of Minneapolis, Minn.; two grandchildren: Dean Tassone and wife Karen, Rena Tilford and husband Eric; three great grandchildren: Lindsey, Scarlet and Ivor and sister Nancy Zapotosky of Masontown.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH, JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa. on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, Pa. with Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant.
Interment at Saint Agnes Cemetery Masontown, Pa.
