Thomas E. “Dirt” Dolde
Thomas E. “Dirt” Dolde, 78, Connellsville, Pa., passed away on Friday May 12, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 16, 1938 in Coraopolis, Pa., the son of Henry and Grace (Rowe) Dolde.
Dirt worked as a teacher at Connellsville Area School District for 44 years.
He was a member of Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville and The Knights of Columbus.
Dirt was a history buff and loved to take his grandchildren to Gettysburg.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna (Cappa) Dolde; sons: Don Dolde, Connellsville, and Tom and wife Lori (Coffman) Dolde of Connellsville; brother, Don and wife Sandra Dolde of Connellsville; and grandchildren: Jared, Alexis and her fiancé Nick LoNigro, Jessica, and Michaela.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Richard Dolde of Baden, Pa.; and brother-in-law, Jake Cappa.
Family and friends will be received in PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC., Dennis N. Heath Jr., Supervisor, 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Tuesday, May 16th, from 2 to 8 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church, Con- nellsville on Wednesday, May 17th, at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Father Robert T. Lubic as Celebrant. We ask that everyone meet at the Church.
Interment will be private.
The Family gives special thanks to close friends, Ron “Babe” Marciante, Mick and Natalie Lilley, and Clarence Meadows.
