Jason Michael Francis “Pinky”
Jason Michael “Pinky” Francis, age 37, of Hibbs, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 27, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident.
Jason was born on September 26, 1980 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Lewis “Rick” and Maureen (Galie) Francis.
Jason was employed at The Historic Mount Summit Inn as the Executive Banquet Chef. He* has been cooking since the age of 12. He was living his dream. He was *”in charge” of the kitchen.*There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do in a kitchen.
Jason was a 1998 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School where he played baseball and football. He attended California University of Pennsylvania.
Jason was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, never missing opening day!
He was also a fanatic Pitt Panthers fan.
Jason was a member of Masontown Italian Club, and a social member of the Adah Volunteer Fire Department, Messmore Rod and Gun Club, and Masontown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584.
Jason will be deeply missed by his parents; brother Josh and sister-in-law Rachel. Also surviving are his grandmother Janet Galie; aunts and uncles: Cindy Rose and Donnie Murray Eric and Brenda Galie, Aaron and Georgia Galie, Pam and Bill Means, and Cindy Francis; cousins: Kyle, Ty, Logan and Bayleigh Galie, Kellie and Brad Davis, Jennifer and Phil Mayfield, Brad Francis; best friends, Danny and Amanda Romito and their children; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Anthony Galie, and Lewis and Hazel Francis; and uncles, Mark Rose and Keith Francis.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., on Thursday, November 2nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m and on Friday until 11:00 a.m. when a Funeral Service will be held with Reverend Charles House officiating.
