Samuel J. Rice Jr., 97, formerly of Brownsville, died Thursday, November 2, 2017.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., Charleroi, 724-483-2231. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
