Anna E. Grmek Hetz
Anna E. (Grmek) Hetz, age 70, of Smithfield, Pa., died on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in the Uniontown Hospital.
Anna was born August 14, 1947 in Waynesburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Martin and Annie E. (Neff) Grmek.
On November 6, 1971, Anna married Joseph P. Hetz, who survives.
Also surviving are two children: Stanley Hetz of Smithfield, Pa., and Melissa Shawl (Brian) of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister Lois Jane Beckner (Dave) and two nephews A brother Martin Grmek is deceased.
Anna served proudly in the United States Army as a Dental Technician in the 1960’s She continued to help her fellow veterans by making lap robes for the Veterans Hospital.
She was a member of the Smithfield Senior Citizens and Fairchance Legion Auxiliary.
She was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Friends will be received in the LESAKO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor, on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m. A Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment with Full Military Rites/Honors will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
