Sarah J. Boone Uhall
Sarah J. (Boone) Uhall, age 90, of Perryopolis, Pa., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
She was born on September 3, 1927 in Perryopolis, Pa., daughter of William and Isabelle (Ferris) Boone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John A. Uhall; son, John Michael Uhall; and siblings, Isabelle, Elizabeth, Charles, George and John.
Sarah was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Perryopolis where she was a member of the Altar Society.
She was a Dispatcher for the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Service. She also worked at Karolcik Grocery Store.
Sarah enjoyed playing bingo and traveling with the Perryopolis Travelers Club.
She was also a member of the Perryopolis Senior Citizens.
Sarah is survived by her daughter, Margaret Ann Clay and her husband John E. Clay, grandsons, John A. Clay and his wife Jillian, and Ryan C. Clay, and great grandchildren, Hunter Clay and Mackenzie Clay, all of Perryopolis; her siblings: Florence Malaspina of Fayette City, Pa., Goldie Mislo of Monessen, Pa., James Boone and his wife Dolores of Brownsville, Pa., Shirley Mae Boone Farrow of Pittsburgh, Pa; nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews.
Sarah’s family will receive friends in the BLAIR- LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, November 24, 2017 where Prayers of Transfer will be said on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with Father Anthony W. Ditto as the Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Nicholas Cemetery, Perryopolis.
The Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home today at 3:00 p.m.
