Eugene John Witteman “E. J.”
Eugene John “E. J.” Witteman, 42, of New Salem, Pa., passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Siemon Lakeview Manor, Somerset, Pa.
He was born July 23, 1975 in Uniontown, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Viola Whetzel.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Albert E. and Roberta A. (Whetzel) Witteman, and his brother, Jason A. Witteman, all of Uniontown, Pa.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
E. J. was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Footedale, Pa.
He was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a graduate and Class Valedictorian of Triangle Technical Institute.
He was also a member of the Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club.
He was very considerate of others, mild mannered and kind.
He was a good son and brother, and will be deeply missed by his family.
Friends will be received at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., Monday, October 2, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 3, until 9:15 a.m.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday in Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Footedale, Pa., with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown, Pa.
