Ronald E. Gross Sr.
Ronald E. Gross, Sr., 79, of Addison, formerly of Dunbar, passed away at home comforted by his loving family on Tuesday Oct. 3, 2017.
He was born August 20, 1938 in Connellsville, a son of the late Michael and Doris (Hill) Gross.
Ron was a member of St. Joan of Arc RC Church, in Farmington.
Ron was retired from the B&O Railroad where he was employed as a Conductor for several years.
He served with the United States Marine Corp. Reserves, and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was a life member of the Dunbar Fire Co., and life member of the Dunbar Sons of Italy.
Ron is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sara (Clements) Gross, a son Ronald Gross and wife Amy of Connellsville, two daughters; Barbara Mickey and companion John of Connellsville, and Cindy Mamula and husband John of Hopwood, three grandchildren; Erika Gross, Kenny Ray Mickey, and Kyah Mamula, one great-grandson; Xander Ray Mickey, a brother Michael Gross and wife Sylvia of Levittown, and a sister-in-law Kaye Gross of Levittown.
In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by a brother Tom Gross, and three sisters; Anna Satovich, Nancy Gross, and Barbara Gross.
