76, of Hopwood, Pa., went to be with his Lord and Savior whom he loved so much on Monday, October 2, 2017. He was born on September 27, 1941 in New Kensington, son of the late Bernard W. and Marie (Pollick) Rakoczy.

Bernard retired from Consol Energy as a Foreman, and a coal miner for 40 years. He graduated from Arnold High School Class of 1960 and attended Bible College in Dayton, Ohio for 3 years.

He was a devoted member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Uniontown, where he enjoyed teaching adult Sunday school for many years. Teaching was his calling, as were the assurances of faith, life and hope expressed though his bible studies for others.

He was a wonderful man, full of life, and of love, which he shared with his wife of 55 years, Gloria R. (Fraley) Rakoczy, their girls, Denise A. Rakoczy of West Leechburg, Pa., and Lisa M. Dunkelberger and her husband Jason of Fort Worth, Texas.; seven grandchildren, Elijah, Abigail, Caleb, Isabel, Emily, Conner, and Olivia; his sister, Janice Smith of Florida, his brother, Pastor Tom Rakoczy and his wife Arlene of Arizona; and two nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Friday evening, October 6, from 6 pm to 8 p.m.; and on Saturday, October 7, at Faith Assembly of God Church, 690 Morgantown Rd., Uniontown, Pa., from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., the Hour of Service, with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating, and brother, Pastor Tom Rakoczy as co-officiate.

Private interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Pa.
