Fayette County warrant sweep ends with 25 arrests
A joint effort between four Fayette County law enforcement agencies resulted in 25 warrant arrests this week, according to state police Lt. Steven Dowlin.
State police, Uniontown City Police Department, Fayette County Probation and Pennsylvania State Parole conducted a warrant detail Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday focused on taking fugitives off the Fayette County streets, police said.
“Each of these agencies are dedicated to making Fayette County a safer place to live and travel,” Dowlin said.
Verna Ladawn Johnston, 36, of Uniontown was charged Sept. 18 with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for an alleged incident Aug. 28. She was arraigned Monday morning and released on a $10,000 bond.
Darius Jones Straitiff, 22, of Uniontown was charged July 21 after he was allegedly found with drug paraphernalia July 11 in South Union Township. He was arraigned Monday and released on a $10,000 bond.
Bryan Matthew Frost, 24, of Cardale was charged after he was allegedly found with drug paraphernalia in Redstone Township, June 1. He was arraigned Monday and released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
David W. Teets, 39, of Hopwood was allegedly found with drug paraphernalia July 15 in North Union Township. Teets was charged Aug. 8 and arraigned Monday on a 10,000 unsecured bond.
Ashley Lauren Dills, 33, of Connellsville was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property Jan. 31 after she allegedly stole in Dunbar Township Dec. 28. She was arraigned Tuesday and lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
Kerry Tison Cromer, 41, of Uniontown allegedly committed theft Jan. 1 in South Union Township. He was charged Sept 25 and arraigned Monday. Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros set his bail at $200,000. Cromer remains in the county lockup in lieu of bond.
Phillip John Miscovich, 54, of McClellandtown was charged Nov. 15 for false statements regarding a firearm purchase and statement under penalty for an allegedly incident in Uniontown, July 29, 2016. He was arraigned Monday and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
Joddie R. Doman, 46, of Uniontown was charged with simple assault in Fairchance in April. He was taken into custody Monday and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
Richard Howard Hickson, 36, of Uledi was charged with theft of services Aug. 24 for an incident July 26 in South Union Township. He was arraigned Monday and lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
Matthew Allen Shaffer, 32, of Dunbar was charged in July after he was allegedly found with drugs May 17 in Uniontown. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of DUI. He was arraigned Tuesday and lodged in jail on a $5,000 bond.
Daniel Leonard Hoyle, 47, of Dawson was charged Sept. 6 with theft July 7 in Dunbar Township. He was arraigned Tuesday and lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $7,5000 bond.
Clifford Wade Colbert, 36, of Vanderbilt was charged in Vanderbilt in September with theft and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned Tuesday and jailed on a $5,000 bond.
Michelle Irene Lash, 54, of Fayette City was allegedly found with drug paraphernalia in Jefferson Township Feb. 27 and charged June 23. She was arraigned Tuesday and jailed on a $500 bond.
Frederick Sherwood, 41, of Connellsville was arrested on a warrant for criminal mischief, police said.
Elizabeth Marie Little-Fabian, 39, of Uniontown was arrested on a warrant for allegedly manufacturing drugs, police said.
Deneen M. Clayton, 53, of Uniontown was charged with aggravated assault and simple assault Sept. 1 in Uniontown. She was arraigned on a $20,000 bond and lodged in Fayette County Prison.
Tracy J. Taylor, 44, of Uniontown was charged with forgery, theft and receiving stolen property in Uniontown in May.
Roy Conrad Johnson Jr., 23, of Uniontown was charged with simple assault Oct. 2 in Uniontown. He was arraigned on a $5,000 bond and jailed.
Ronzel Dupree Ross, 26, of Uniontown was charged in August for a simple assault allegedly committed in Uniontown, June 18. He was arraigned Tuesday and jailed on a $5,000 bond.
Robin Denise Walters, 36, and Ronald Joseph Walters Jr., 32, of Uniontown allegedly committed theft in South Union Township Sept. 1. They were arraigned Wednesday on $10,000 bonds and jailed. Robin Walters was released after posting bail.
Christopher Nicholas Foster, 29, of Smithfield was charged with simple assault in September and arraigned Wednesday on a $5,000 bond. He was released after posting bail.
Warren Earnest Bircher Jr., 24, of Uniontown was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in North Union Township in July. He was arraigned Wednesday and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
John Risher, 37, of Connellsville was charged Aug. 22 with resisting arrest and flight after an incident March 20 in North Union Township. He was arraigned on a $10,000 bond and jailed.
