Rose Mene Wolinski
Rose (Mene) Wolinski, age 89, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
She was born May 24, 1928 in Bowood, Pa., the daughter of Pasqual Mene and Nelley (Page) Mene.
In addition to her parents, Rose was also preceded in death by her husband, Edmund J. Wolinski Sr.; brothers, John Mene, Dominic Mene and Louis Mene; and an infant sister.
Rose graduated from Saint John’s High School in 1947 and was a faithful member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
She worked for the Berkowitz Shirt Factory and the Herald-Standard newspaper.
Rose’s family was her life. She especially enjoyed cooking and baking for her grandchildren.
Rose was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Left to cherish Rose’s memory are her two daughters Joanne Wilson and Linda Kunkel and her husband Gregory, and her son, Edmund J Wolinski Jr., all of Uniontown, Pa.; four grandchildren: Kyle J. Wilson of Columbus, Ohio, Jonathan T. Wilson of Pittsburgh, Pa., Natalie A. Kunkel of Uniontown, Pa., and Sofia Wolinski of Perryopolis, Pa.; and son-in-law, Scott M. Wilson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania where friends will be received today from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Rose’s life will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown.
