Mary Frances (Whitfield) Davis, 93, of Green Street, Harrisburg Pennsylvania peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in the peace and love of her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania daughter of the late Hubert and Louise (Gibbons) Whitfield, a stay at home mother who loved taking care of her home and her daughters.

She was a member of Shiloh Church of God in Christ where she served on the Mothers’ Board and the Caf* Ministry.

In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking and baking.

Mother Davis is the widow of Boyd William Davis and leaves to celebrate her life her daughters: Betty L. Cobb, Gloria J. Butts Barnes, and Mary E. Smith all of Harrisburg and Vickie L. Davis of Pittsburgh, Pa.; her sisters: Louise Jones of Philadelphia, Pa., Flossie Harris of Detroit, Michigan, Thelma Burno of Harrisburg, Pa., Drena Campbell of Las Vegas, Nevada; her 15 grand children; 30 great grands; one great-great grand; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of her Church at 5950 Derry Street with viewing from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.

Burial on Friday, October 13, at 10:30 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
