Police: Lake Lynn man assaulted two people for being noisy

By The 1 min read

A Lake Lynn man was arrested after he allegedly caused severe injury to a man and hurt a woman because they were being loud at his neighbor’s house early Sunday.

Michael Andrew Sapp, 50, of Fancy Hill Road, was charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and two counts of simple assault.

A witness told police Sapp went to 154 Fancy Hill Road at about 12:15 a.m. and began arguing outside with the two people, who were not identified in the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case. The man shoved Sapp, and Sapp allegedly punched him multiple times. The woman jumped on Sapp, and he threw her off, the witness told police.

Neighbors later broke up the fight.

State police said it appeared the man had a broken nose and a dislocated shoulder.

The woman told police Sapp threw her into a wheelbarrow, causing a cut on her leg.

Sapp is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $25,000 bond. He faces a preliminary hearing 9 a.m. Oct. 25 before Magisterial District Judge Daniel C. Shimshock.
