Chemistry event set
Waynesburg University’s American Chemical Society student chapter will host a haunted lab event from 6-8 p.m., Oct. 25, on the fifth floor of the university’s Stewart Science Hall. The event is open to the public and will showcase over 20 interactive demonstrations and activities geared toward a K-12 audience. Lecture slated
Waynesburg University’s Stover Center for Constitutional Studies and Moral Leadership will host Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Gary Glazer at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 26, in Alumni Hall for a lecture exploring the challenges of being a prospective lawyer or public leader in today’s polarizing political climate and the importance of civil discourse and respect for the Rule of Law in the context of ethical challenges that exist in America’s cultural divide. Parent-teacher days announced
Uniontown Area School District will hold parent-teacher conferences for students in all grades Nov. 8-9. Conferences will be scheduled by appointment and by open house. Students will report to school at the regular time. Lunches will be served both days prior to early dismissal in all buildings. The dismissal times will be as follows:
n Elementary — Benjamin Franklin (first group), 12:05 p.m.; Benjamin Franklin (second group), 12:30 p.m.; Lafayette (first group), 12:05 p.m.; Lafayette (second group), 12:30 p.m.; Franklin, 12:15 p.m.; Menallen, 12:15 p.m.; Marclay, 12:30 p.m.; Wharton, 12:30 p.m.
