Ella Gertrude Burnsworth Thorpe “Gertie”
Ella Gertrude “Gertie” (Burnsworth) Thorpe, 88, Cookeville, Tennessee and formerly of Mill Run, Pennsylvania passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in Cookeville.
She was born August 18, 1929 in Connellsville, Pa., daughter of Lloyd Ray and Beulah Bell (Burnworth) Burnsworth.
Her parents and husband, Palmer C. Thorpe, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son Keith and wife Jayne of Cookeville and two granddaughters, Chandra and Molly.
Gertie worked for many years at the Ohiopyle School cafeteria
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, the hour of Service, at HUMBERT FUNERAL HOME in Confluence Pennsylvania
Interment will follow in Sands Cemetery.
