William H. “Snooks” Thomas

William H. “Snooks” Thomas, our beloved father, brother, and friend, passed on to Glory at home in Brownsville, Pa on 10-23-17 surrounded by family. Over decades of having cardiac, diabetes and kidney problems he finally succumbed to his illnesses and God has called him home.

Snooks graduated from Brownsville High School in ’84 and served with the US Navy as a Cryptologic Technician Administrator from 1984-1995. During this time, he was awarded multiple medals pertaining to his service. He retired from the United Stated Pentagon in 2004 where he served as an Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of Defense. He loved to host parties and he was a big Steelers, Pirates, and basketball fan. Snooks bled Black & Gold and loved to make people laugh; all that knew him also knew that he was a Facebook fanatic.

Snooks was born on Thursday, September 16, 1965 in Los Angeles, Ca to the late Carmella “Cheeta” & the late William H. Thomas Jr., of Los Angeles, Ca. He is also preceded in death by his brothers: Brian Thomas and Xavier Eddie Thomas; and nephew, Andre Smith.

He is survived by his children: William (Billy) Thomas IV and Michalla Thomas of Fairfax, Va; long time fianc*, companion, and sweetheart, Terri MeNeely; siblings: Allise Adams of Brownsville; Andre and his wife, Paulina, Thomas of Gainesville, Va; and Veronica Thomas of Brownsville; a host of nieces and nephews; Erica & GL Riley, Marcus, Matthew, Mikey, Denzel, Melena, Katawna, Keena, Maya, Dominick, Xavier, Brian, Jasmine, Jordan, Brandy, and special family member, Mary Thomas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at LANTZ FUNERAL HOME Inc., 297 E. Main St, Uniontown, Pa. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 29th and the Funeral Service will commence at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30th with Rev. James Thomas, officiating. Intermittent will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Brownsville, Pa.
