Mildred Dice
Mildred Dice, 91, of Fairchance, Pa., passed away with her loving family by her side at home on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
She was born August 25, 1926 at Old Wynn, Pa.
Mildred was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd Dice and Marie (Cramer) Dice; brothers, Norman Dice, John “Raymond” Dice, and Harry “Pete” Dice; and sisters, Geraldine “Jean” Anderson and Betty Hartman.
Surviving are her loving family: children Diana Chapman of Uniontown, Pa., and Larry Dice and wife Linda, who was a special daughter-in-law and is where Mildred made her home with for the last 40 years; grandchildren: Robert Chapman Jr. and wife Karen of the state of Massachuchetts, Larry Joe Dice of Fairchance, Pa., Brian Chapman and wife Amy of Uniontown, Pa., and Lori Kelley and husband Adam of Point Marion, Pa.; great grandchildren, Aaron Chapman, Tiffany Chapman, Bella Kelley, Brooke Kelley, Jordan Chapman, Aidan Chapman, and Cassandra Chapman; great great grandchild, Adrian Chapman; brother, Fred Dice, Fairchance, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
Mildred graduated from Georges Township High School, Class of 1945.
She was a longtime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Fairchance, Pa.
She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, reading books, crossword puzzles, shopping with her niece Cindy Rankin and spending time outdoors, especially with her great grandchildren when they came to visit.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Timothy Rogers officiating.
Interment will follow in White Rock Cemetery, Georges Township, Pa.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m.
