Marian L. Diddle Richardson "Pat"

Marian L. “Pat” (Diddle) Richardson, 85, of Smock, Pa., died on Friday, October 28, 2017 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born in Vandergrift, Pa., on July 15, 1932 daughter of Fred and Eunice (Barnhart) Diddle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Joseph R. “Rick” Richardson in 1999; brothers, Wilbert Diddle, Robert Diddle, Kenneth Diddle and James Diddle sisters, Mildred Wienel, Dorothy Miller, Rachel Sedwick, Genevieve Skinner, Irma Jean Stam; and her second husband, Stanley Koosher.

Pat was a faithful member of Uniontown Free Methodist Church, and a graduate of Uniontown High School, Class of 1950.

For many years, Pat worked as a caregiver for individuals with disabilities at Laurel House and also worked as a dedicated staff member of the Haky Funeral Home.

Pat was a very kind, gentle, and caring woman

She enjoyed spending time with her grand children and great grand children, and loved all animals. Watching her children and grand children compete in horse shows brought her great joy.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Patti Jo Crawford of Canonsburg, Pa., Joseph R. Richardson Jr. of Bellingham, Washington, and Amy R. Miller and her husband Donald of Smock, Pa., with whom Pat made her home; grandchildren: Joel Richardson, Deanna Kozak, Laura Reddy, Ashley Hawthorne, Mallory Gonzalez, Riley Miller, and Joely Miller; 11 beloved great grandchildren; two brothers: Gerald Diddle and wife Lucille of Kansas, Donald Diddle and wife Suzanne of Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today, October 30, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 31, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. the hour of Service with Pastor Drew Mountcastle officiating.

Private interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa
