Preliminary hearings 9-24-17

Several preliminary hearings were held this week in Fayette County. The results include:

Tobias A. Mitchell, 35, of Uniontown was held for court Tuesday on a felony charge of intimidating a witness. He was previously charged with aggravated assault, and allegedly told a witness at that preliminary hearing April 18 “I’m coming for you.” He is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Telina Marie Lewellen, 34, of Ronco waived her charges Wednesday for allegedly stabbing her husband, Travis Lewellen Sr., 26, in the head after he smoked her last cigarette during an argument about medication in June. He reported to police Aug. 14 his wife was the person who stabbed him, saying she continued to threaten him and he feared her because the stabbing left him vulnerable. Police said he is missing a large portion of his skull. She is facing two counts each of aggravated assault and one count each of recklessly endangering another person and simple assault. She is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Mark A. Wiles Jr., 30, waived his charges Wednesday for allegedly shooting Michael Chury of Masontown during a turkey hunting accident on baited property in Georges Township in May. Police said Chury was seriously injured. Wiles is facing misdemeanor counts of shooting a human while hunting and use of bait. He is free on a $25,000 unsecured bond.

Darrell Lindburg Ritenour, 32, of Connellsville was held for court Thursday on charges alleging he raped a woman Aug. 23. He is charged with rape, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and sexual assault. He was released from jail Friday after a $100,000 bail was posted on his behalf.
