Leonard R. Karpel “Lenny”
Leonard “Lenny” R. Karpel, 67, Hopwood, Pa. passed away March 29, 2018 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born October 21, 1950 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late John Edward and Doris (Sines) Karpel.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Karpel.
Surviving are his wife Rose (Fuller) Karpel; four children: Kelly Michael of Hopwood, Pa., James Galla of Lemont Furnace, Pa., Gidget Grimes and husband Walt of Hopwood, Pa., Leonard R. Karpel Jr. of Hopwood, Pa.; ten grandchildren: Lawrence “Turd Bird” Baker, Zoii Grimes, Jim Galla, Quinn Galla, Drew Galla, Melina Galla, Brittany Karpel, Kyle Karpel, Misty Boyd and Daniel Valentine; four great grandchildren; siblings: Larry Karpel, Terry Karpel, Tonya Karpel.
Lenny was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired Union painter.
Friends will be received in DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa., on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m the hour of the Service with Pastor Robert Miller officiating.
Interment will be private.
