A third generation is joining the family owned Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations.

Rachael L. Parzynski graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science last September and continued her education to complete her associate’s degree in specialized business management, graduating in January. She will be serving her internship with her father, Michael J. Parzynski, and grandfather Leonard J. Parzynski at the newly opened funeral home in Perryopolis and their current funeral home in Belle Vernon.

Parzynski is a 2015 graduate of Belle Vernon High School and attended Westmoreland County Community College prior to attending mortuary school.

She enjoyed playing softball, high school and college volleyball and is a certified lifeguard at the YMCA, Carroll Twp. She has volunteered her time to local Boy Scout troops by helping them achieve their swimming and basic lifesaving requirements for advancement.

‘I have been working at the funeral homes with my family for several years and am excited for the opportunity to further serve our families during their time of need,” said Parzynski. “It is a privilege to provide comfort to families through such a difficult time and look forward to continuing our family’s tradition.”
