Margaret P. Majercik Swinker, age 91, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was born on July 6, 1926 in East Millsboro, PA, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Zayak Majercik.

Margaret graduated from California State College and worked as an Elementary school teacher locally and in Philadelphia, PA. She retired from Brownsville Area School District.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, retired Brownsville Optometrist, Dr. Robert J. Swinker, and five daughters: Marian L. Swinker and husband Allen Schlobohm of Winterville NC., Ann M. Swinker and husband Daniel Kniffen of Spring Mills, PA, D. Jean Swinker of Belle Vernon, PA, Margaret (Peggy) J. Swinker and husband Jeff Strauch of Uniontown, PA, Jane F. Swinker Ohi and husband Don of Morgantown, WV., and grandchildren, Kent and Tayler Strauch and Nicholas Ohi.

She was preceded in death by son Robert G. Swinker.

Arrangements are in the care of SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, Brownsville, PA and services will be private.
