Walter P. Novinsky, age 88, of Grindstone, Pa. died on Sunday, April 1, 2018.

He was the son of the late Stanley Novinsky Sr. and Frances (Klotc) Novinsky.

Walter was a past life member of Saint Mary Church, Brownsville, and a present member of The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville.

He graduated with the Class of 1948 from Brownsville Senior High School, served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired from RCA’s Missile Test Project at Florida’s Eastern Coast Test Range.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Mary Matty, Pauline Poling, Verna Martell, Helen Novinsky; brothers Alex Novinsky, Stan Novinsky Jr.; and a very dear friend, Gen McCune

He is survived by his sister, Geraldine Helisek and her husband John of Hiller, Pa.

A Blessing Service will be at the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Friday, April 6, at 9:30 a.m.

Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Father Timothy J. Kruthaupt as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery with Full Military Rites and Honors accorded by American Legion Posts 295, 940 and 838.
