By The 1 min read

The body of a man who was reported missing from Somerset County in December was found last month at Ohiopyle, officials said.

Scott Clevenger, 54, of Ursina was identified through DNA testing, according to the Fayette County Coroner’s office. The cause and manner of death are pending further testing. State police said it did not appear the man died from trauma. Local state police are conducting a death investigation while state police in Somerset County conducted the missing person case.

Hikers discovered the body along the middle Youghiogheny River on March 18. It appeared the body had become entangled in trees during high water, according to Ohiopyle Park officials.

State police in both counties are continuing to investigate the case.
