A Charleroi woman was sentenced to three years of probation with six months served on home detention for stealing more than $21,000 from a local chapter of the AFL-CIO.

Federal prosecutors said Marianne Rodacy, 64, of Lincoln Avenue was the financial/recording secretary of the United Steelworkers, AFL-CIO, Local 10-53-G when she allegedly stole $21,539 between October 2012 and June 2015.

As part of the sentence handed down Wednesday, Rodacy was also ordered to pay a fine of $2,500 and was barred from working for a labor union for 13 years.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Rodacy had already paid restitution in full at the time of her sentencing.
