Veronica Theresa Zavage Lowe
Veronica Theresa (Zavage) Lowe, 96, of Smithfield, Pa., passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, April 10, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
She was born August 29, 1921 in Edenborn, Pa.
Veronica was predeceased by her parents, Michael Zavage and Elizabeth (Svenk) Zavage; her loving husband of 68 years, Donald Dale Lowe Sr.; two sons, James Richard Lowe and Gary Eugene Lowe Sr.; granddaughter, Melissa Couch; siblings, Paul, John, Andy, Steve, Michael, Pete, Edward, Betty, Mary, Anna and Margaret. She was the last surviving member of her parents immediate family.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, caring for her family for many years.
She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Surviving are her children: Dolores Beatty and husband Nick Beatty of Perryopolis, Pa., Donald D. Lowe Jr. and wife Sandra Lowe of Fairchance, Pa., Brenda Trump and husband Mark Trump Sr. of Smithfield, Pa., Roger Lowe and spouse Daniel Riggs of Boynton Beach, Florida; daughter-in-law, Barbara Lowe of Fairchance, Pa.; grand children: Renee Bortz, Lauren Harris and husband Jimmy, Kristen Brownfield and husband T.J., Chris Lowe and girlfriend Flip Glover, David Lowe and wife Jessica, Tessa Miller and husband Ewing, Gary E. Lowe Jr., Mark Trump Jr. and wife Linda, Matthew Trump and wife Wendy, Bradley Trump and wife Christina, and Zachary Trump; great grandchildren: Jayden Johnson, Madison Richards, Haven Harris, Kimber Harris, Brantley Harris, Alora Brownfield, Mackenzie Lowe, Allison Lowe, Gavin Dusi, Gabby Miller, Nolan Miller, Ainsley Miller, Ryan Miller, Cassie Miller, Markie Trump, Mya Trump, Olivia Trump, Jackson Trump, Maylee Trump; and other loving family and friends.
Veronica was a member of SS Cyril and Methodius Church in Fairchance, Pa.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m and on Saturday, April 14, 2018 until 12 Noon when a Blessing Service will be held.
Interment will follow in Saint Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
