Charter bus available from Uniontown for Second Amendment rally in Harrisburg

2 min read

Due to strong interest by residents to attend the annual Second Amendment Rally in Harrisburg on Monday, April 30, state Rep. Matthew Dowling, R-Uniontown, said a bus will be available at his district office for a fee of $35 to be paid directly to the provider, Budget Charters, Inc.

“I have had expressions of interest for transportation by those who want to attend the rally to express support for the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the nation, and also to support Article 1, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution supporting the right to bear arms,” said Dowling. “I will be speaking at the rally this year and will address my legislation to prevent the seizure of arms in an emergency declaration by the governor.”

Dowling said the bus will be boarding at his district office located at 65 W. Main St. in Uniontown at 5 a.m. and departing for Harrisburg promptly at 5:30 a.m. There will be coffee and light refreshments available during the ride. Following the rally, lunch will be provided and riders will have the opportunity to meet with Dowling and other legislative members. Limited open seating will be available in the House chamber at 1 p.m. for the session.

The bus will depart Harrisburg at 2:30 p.m. with a Pennsylvania Turnpike stop to enable riders to purchase a fast food dinner. The return to Uniontown will be at approximately 6:30 p.m.

To make a reservation or for more information, call Dowling’s district office at 724-438-6100.
