Mildred Gibson “Midge”
Mildred “Midge” Gibson, 71, Masontown, Pa., passed away Monday April 16, 2018 at home surrounded by her family
She was born May 19, 1946 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late William Robert Piper and Betty Marie (Cress) McCoy.
Midge was a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, Class of 1965.
Before retiring, she was employed as a Seamstress at Gateway Sportswear, Masontown, Ronco Manufacturing, and also Truefit in Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur D. Gibson Jr.; and a sister, Betty Marie Stewart.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Charmayne “Sherry” Lloyd and fiance David Valencheck, Masontown, Pa.; granddaughter, Sabrina Lloyd and her finace Thomas Howard of Masontown, Pa.; great grandsons: Matthew and Connor; sisters and brothers: Wanda Boggs and husband David of Uniontown, Pa., Terri Cartier of Carmichaels, Pa., Bill Piper and wife Clara of Carmichaels, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, “Muffy”.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Ave., Masontown, Pa., today, April 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, April 19, until 10:00 a.m., the hour of Service in Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor H. David McElroy will officiate.
Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
