Three shot, at least two dead in Connellsville Tuesday night

At least two people died and one was seriously injured in a reported shooting on Hill Street in Connellsville Tuesday night, officials said.
Police, ambulance crews and the coroner were called to the 300 block of Hill Street at about 8:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting with three victims, according to a Fayette County 911 supervisor.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene by a Fayette County deputy coroner. A second person was taken to Highlands Hospital in Connellsville by Fayette EMS, and later died. The third person was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh by medical helicopter, investigators reported.
Connellsville police are investigating. Cpl. Bryan Kendi said Tuesday night there was no threat to the public. As of early Wednesday, police had not released any additional details about what happened, and none of those involved were identified.
Online court records did not show that anyone had been charged in connection with the shooting.
A neighbor, Andrew Swope, was shaken by the shooting. He watched from a nearby street corner last night, where he waited to learn more about what happened, and to find out if he knew the victims.
“You can’t live nowhere safe no more,” he said.
